Business Analyst

Arbejdssted
Danmark

Are you skilled at analysing data and translating it into business-related insights for management? Do you enjoy working with Power BI, data models and business questions? Then you might be our new Business Analyst.

We offer a role where your analyses, reports and insights will help provide management and business areas with a stronger foundation for decision-making.

About the position

Our new Business Analyst will be part of the Data and Analysis team, working with business data management and analysis. You will focus on preparing business-related analyses and reporting solutions for management and internal stakeholders, including customer engagement trends and broader business analysis

Your tasks would be:

  • Prepare business-related analyses that support management reporting and internal decision-making.
  • Work with SQL, Power BI models, Excel and other relevant data sources to support analyses and reporting.
  • Present findings, assumptions and limitations clearly within the team and in prepared reporting material.
  • Contribute to building, maintaining and improving Power BI reports and relevant BI files.
  • Help simplify dashboard logic, coding and design so reports are understandable, consistent and easy to use.
  • Compare data across systems when needed, for example Business Central, CRM, SQL sources and Power BI models.
  • Investigate differences between reports, systems and data sources when needed.
  • Support validation before reports, dashboards or analyses are shared more widely by checking whether figures are reliable.
  • Document report logic, data definitions, calculation assumptions and known data limitations.
  • Support a more structured and transparent reporting environment where analyses, reports and BI files can be maintained by others in the team.
  • Ad hoc analyses

Work collaboratively as a team to support each other in validating data, analyses and reporting tasks before they are published or shared more widely.

An exciting growth opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the further development of DBI’s Data and Analysis area. You will help reduce manual and ad hoc reporting, transform Excel-based processes into more structured reporting solutions, and improve the way data is documented, validated and used across the organisation.

You will be part of a small dynamic team with flexible working conditions

As part of our team, which consists of 2 business analysts and 2 students and the manager of the function, you will experience a collaborative and supportive environment. We value clear communication, curiosity, responsibility and mutual support.

We understand the importance of work-life balance and trust you to manage your own schedule, planning your working days in a way that aligns with both your professional responsibilities and personal needs. While enjoying this flexibility, maintaining team collaboration and meeting deadlines is crucial.

Being a team player is essential, as we rely on clear communication, knowledge sharing and support across tasks. You will work with complex data and different stakeholders, so it is important that you can ask relevant questions, handle uncertainty and follow up when clarification or validation is needed.

Your background

We imagine that you have the following background and competencies:

  • You hold a master’s degree in economics, data, business analytics, business intelligence or a similar relevant field.
  • You have at least two years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence or performance follow-up in a business context.
  • You have strong analytical skills and a natural ability to identify patterns, causes and inconsistencies in data.
  • You are curious and interested in understanding business needs and how analyses can support better decisions.
  • You take responsibility for the quality of your analyses and reports, and you communicate openly if something is wrong, unclear or at risk.
  • You are comfortable presenting and discussing your findings with management, stakeholders and your immediate leader.
  • You can explain data, assumptions and limitations clearly, also to people who are not data specialists.

Additionally, you are:

  • A fast and good learner, willing to embrace new technologies and adapt to new ways of working.
  • Experienced with Power BI and Excel.
  • Familiar with data models, measures and reporting logic.
  • Experienced with Power Query and DAX, or motivated to develop further in these areas.
  • Analytical, structured and focused on improving processes and reducing unnecessary manual work.
  • Good at documenting definitions, assumptions and calculation logic.

Experience with Business Central, CRM/Dataverse, SQL, Power BI Service, semantic models or cross-system data validation is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Professional English, both written and spoken, is required. Danish is an advantage, especially for stakeholder dialogue and understanding local business context, but it should not be a barrier if you have strong English communication skills and strong analytical capabilities.
